Gundash by SK Games
[PC and Mac]
Gundash is a western themed shoot/jump/race. Between one and four players race to the chequered flag through a dangerous environment, using your faithful six shooter to propel you forward, across gaps and up steep walls. The rounds are fast, under a minute each, and fastest times are recorded for bragging rights. Oh and watch out for cactus, and dynamite, and falling rocks, traps, snowballs, tar, traps, and of course the bullets from your friends gun.
We’ve been tinkering with Gundash for years, and it’s evolved with the feedback we’ve gotten every time we’ve shown it off. We really like the atmosphere it brings to a show when it’s up on a projector, so many times I’ve seen someone dash to grab the last controller before a round starts, no matter if they know the other players or not. Good times.
Gundash also has single player time trial, which can be tricky when combined with the modifiers in the options menu. It’s a well rounded game and we’re really quite proud of how far it’s come. I’d recommend it for players familiar with platformers, and if you’re playing in a more social setting, simply put the new players up against each other. It’s not about being good at the game, it’s about being better than the person next to you.
