One Heart by 2 Hit Studio
[PC and Mac]
One Heart is a brutally quick multiplayer slasher. It excels in a party environment, it’s just as frantic to watch as it is to play. Between two and four players enter the claustrophobic arena as neon samurai (someone should start a band called neon samurai) and attempt to remain the last one standing, or whatever the specific game mode asks of you.
The first version of One Heart was made in a few weeks for the Interstate Arcade tour in 2014. We put the schematics of our cabinets online and Adam decided to throw together a simple twin stick deathmatch game. It went amazingly at venues around Australia, prompting the brothers to create a full version they’d be happy to sell. They were also incredibly supportive of the store idea and we’re really happy to be able to distribute their game.
Something I really appreciate about One Heart is it’s almost resistance to mastering. It’s really accessible, to the point where even Sof can beat me sometimes, and she never lets me forget it. It’ great for events or parties, especially if you find the same people always winning at other games like Towerfall, just throw on One Heart and even the odds.
